Bringing our community together collectively to help the Connecting Torfaen Partnership shape the way forward for Volunteers in Torfaen.
Why Volunteer?
Volunteering can make a real difference in your own life and the lives of those around you. There are loads of ways to get involved and plenty of organisations that can help you find your dream role.
Benefits of Volunteering:
Community Impact: Volunteering allows you to contribute positively to your community. It helps address social issues, supports non-profits, and provides essential aid to those in need.
Skill Development: Many volunteer opportunities help develop new skills or enhance existing ones. This can be particularly beneficial for students, people considering a career change, or those re-entering the workforce.
Networking: Volunteering introduces you to new people, including community leaders, fellow volunteers, and professionals in various fields. These connections can be valuable for both personal growth and professional opportunities.
Personal Growth: Volunteering can help you gain a better understanding of yourself and your interests. It also promotes personal growth by challenging you to work in different environments and meet people from diverse backgrounds.
Connect Torfaen is a fantastic resource that allows individuals to search for volunteering opportunities and organisations to recruit volunteers.

Working together to strengthen Torfaen through volunteering.
The forum is led by the Volunteering Team at TVA and we meet 3 – 4 times per year to support Volunteer leads and co-ordinators. The aim of the forum is to find out how we can best support organisations who work with Volunteers and to ensure individuals looking to Volunteer in Torfaen get the best opportunities.
